Beneful Dog Treats Recall: What You Need to Know

The affected products included Beneful Originals, Beneful Cheddar, and Beneful Texas Hold'Em treats.

In March 2016, there was a Beneful recall due to a lack of vitamins and minerals in the 10 oz. tubs of Beneful Prepared Meals and Beneful Chopped Blends wet dog food.

The recall was announced by Nestlé Purina, who said they had discovered the problem during their own quality checks.

Purina is recalling all varieties of their Beneful Meals and Beneful Blends Wet Dog Foods and five varieties of their Pro Plan Savory Meals Wet Dog Foods due to a lack of vitamins.

Most of the recalled dog food contains all of the vitamins and minerals your dog needs, but Purina recommends throwing away any remaining food and contacting them for a refund.
