Bosco is a beloved therapy dog who has made numerous public appearances. He has visited schools, hospitals, and nursing homes, bringing joy and comfort to those he meets.

Bosco's calm demeanor makes him an ideal companion for people in need. He has a gentle touch and a soothing presence that can calm even the most anxious individuals.

Bosco is a social dog who thrives on interaction. He loves being around people and is always eager to make new friends.

Bosco's Public Life

Bosco's Public Life was marked by a bronze statue unveiled in 2008. The statue, created by Russian artist Lena Toritch, features Bosco wearing his signature kerchief and lolling tongue.

The statue was placed next to the post office, under the town clock, making it a prominent landmark. I can imagine how striking it must be to see a bronze statue of a dog in such a location.

Bosco's story even inspired a roadside video, "Sunol Remembers Mayor Bosco", which you can still watch today.

Bosco's Relationships

Bosco is a social dog who gets along well with other animals. He has a special bond with his owner, who takes care of him.

Bosco loves to play with his dog friends in the park. They run around and chase each other, burning off energy.

Bosco's owner says he's a great companion and is always happy to see him. This is likely because Bosco gives him lots of affection.

Bosco is not aggressive towards other animals, even when they're competing for food. He's a calm dog who knows how to share.

Bosco's owner describes him as a gentle giant, which is fitting given his size and temperament.

Personality

Bosco is a dog with a very particular personality. He's a jerk, to put it bluntly.

Bosco's arrogance and pride in being a pedigree lead him to believe he's superior to other dogs. He looks down on those he considers mutts, showing them contempt and little respect.

Bosco's a natural-born leader, or at least he thinks he is. He declares that he's the one who makes the law in the park, and expects everyone to follow his lead.

One of Bosco's biggest flaws is his taste for bullying. He scares Marmaduke when they meet, and isn't above chasing him savagely when he gets upset.

Bosco's also very jealous and angry. When he finds out Marmaduke's interested in Jezebel, he warns him to back off, and gets even more upset when he loses a surf contest.

But despite his tough exterior, Bosco's a coward. He's afraid of Marmaduke, and simulates a cramp in his leg when he's confronted.

Bosco's also capable of forgiveness, though. He forgives Marmaduke when he's exposed for lying about driving a cat out of the park.

Here are some key traits that sum up Bosco's personality:

  • Arrogant
  • Cruel
  • Perfidious
  • Manipulative
  • Contemptuous
  • Angry
  • Jealous
  • Cowardly
