Lab Retrievers are one of the most popular breeds in the US, but unfortunately, many end up in shelters due to circumstances beyond their control.
These dogs are often surrendered by their previous owners due to reasons such as moving, financial constraints, or simply realizing they can't provide the necessary care and attention.
Lab Retrievers are highly social dogs that thrive on interaction and love being part of a family.

Rescue Stories
Lab retriever rescue stories are truly heartwarming. In one notable case, a Lab mix named Max was rescued from a hoarding situation with over 100 other dogs.
Max's story highlights the importance of rescue efforts, as he was found to be one of the healthiest dogs in the group despite the dire circumstances.
Many Lab retrievers are rescued from shelters, where they often wait for months or even years for a forever home. According to the ASPCA, over 3 million dogs are euthanized annually in the US due to overcrowding in shelters.
One dedicated rescue organization, Lab Rescue of the Northeast, has successfully rehomed over 2,000 Lab retrievers since its inception.

Meet Our Dogs
Our dogs have received a thorough physical exam by a licensed veterinarian and are up-to-date on their vaccinations. They're also spayed or neutered (if age appropriate), dewormed for parasites, and microchipped.
Each of our dogs has a unique personality, but they all share a love for people and attention. Bandit, for example, is a happy-go-lucky dog who loves to play outside and retrieve toys. Buddy, on the other hand, thinks treats are great and takes them gently.
Here's a quick rundown of what our dogs have to offer:
- Bandit: good at retrieving, knows basic commands, loves to play outside and be with people
- Buddy: enjoys swimming, hanging out with older children, retrieving, and being petted
Our dogs are looking for a loving forever home with a physical fence and plenty of playtime, training, and exercise. If you're ready to provide a happy and healthy home, we'd love to hear from you!

Brodie
Brodie is a big, super-sweet fellow who is very affectionate.
He loves to practice his Lab lean, which means he'll lean into you to show how much he likes being petted and brushed.
Brodie has hypertension, but his medication is helping him. However, he's not able to do strenuous exercise, so he's looking for a family that can provide a more relaxed lifestyle.
He's happy to lounge around, hang out in the yard, or go for short, easy walks. Simply hanging out with his people is fine with him.
Brodie is a big fan of napping, and he's even taken nice naps on car rides.
As a laid-back companion, Brodie will make someone a delightful, loving friend.
Buddy #3
Buddy #3 is a people person, loving attention and being petted.
He enjoys swimming and is quite the retriever.
Buddy also has a fondness for treats, taking them gently.
He gets along with other dogs and even cats.
Buddy knows two commands already: sit and come.
He's working on mastering the down command.
Charles
Charles is an incredibly sweet boy who loves people. He is a happy-go-lucky guy and was very well behaved for his visit with the vet and with transporters. Charles is so happy to be on his way to a forever home through Lab Rescue. He looks forward to healthy meals to gain some needed weight. Charles did great meeting another pup at the shelter and was all tail wags. Charles is a good pup who will be ready for training and love in his new home.
Corbin
Corbin is a very affectionate, playful, young pup.
He came to his foster home a very shy young dog, but has since made a lot of progress and is now a happy brave explorer who will go anywhere in the house.
Corbin prefers to be close to his humans or the resident dogs that give him confidence and security.
His crate is his safe space and he spends the day there when his foster mom is at work.
Corbin has plenty of young dog energy, but settles quickly.
He exhibits his puppy exuberance with zoomies around the backyard, play bows, and efforts to get his canine siblings to play.
Corbin is a happy boy who will gladly be your new best friend if you're willing to give him a little time and patience.
