Labradors and More Rescue California is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs in need. They have a wide range of breeds available for adoption, including Labradors, Golden Retrievers, and mixed-breed dogs.
Their rescue efforts are led by a team of experienced volunteers who work tirelessly to find forever homes for the dogs in their care. They also provide medical care, training, and socialization to help the dogs become adoptable.
The organization has a network of foster homes throughout California, which allows them to care for a large number of dogs and provide them with a safe and loving environment.
About the Organization
Labradors and More Rescue is an all-volunteer organization, which means that no one on the team is paid for their work.
We're dedicated to becoming self-sufficient and covering our costs, which is crucial for our long-term viability and ability to save more dogs.
Our mission is to make a mark in the Southern California area, and we're working towards adopting out 1,500 to 2,000 dogs annually.
We operate in a decentralized manner, leveraging digital technology to communicate and manage our dogs, which allows us to be efficient and effective.
Our biggest corporate sponsor is RoadRunner Sports (RRS) of San Diego, who have been incredibly supportive and have allowed us to hold our weekly adoption events on their property.
We're seeking other corporate sponsors and individuals to partner with and help us promote our mission.
Foster and Adoption
If you're interested in adopting a Labrador Retriever, you'll need to contact your SCLRR family representative or submit an online application to adopt.
We don't adopt outside of Southern California, so if you live in Riverside, San Diego, Kern, or San Luis Obispo Counties, you won't be eligible to adopt.
To adopt, you'll need to have your home checked and approved first, and then you'll be put in touch with a dog's foster home.
Absolutely no out-of-state adoptions are allowed.
Donate Monthly
Your monthly support gives us the resources to never have to turn a Lab away that needs our care. This is especially important for Labs that are waiting for a forever home.
By donating monthly, you'll be helping to ensure the well-being of these wonderful dogs. Your contribution will go directly towards providing them with the love, care, and attention they deserve.
You can make a donation in the name of a specific Lab, which will help to support their care until they find a loving forever home. This is a great way to make a difference in the life of a deserving dog.
To mail your donation, simply make a check payable to "Lab Rescue LRCP" and send it to Lab Rescue LRCP | P.O. Box 1814, Annandale, VA 22003.
Meet the Dogs

Their team works tirelessly to match families with the perfect furry companion, prioritizing patience, kindness, and respect in the adoption process. They take in hundreds of pregnant moms who get to deliver their puppies in a safe and loving home.
Their dogs are spayed or neutered before adoption, ensuring they can find forever homes where they'll be loved and cared for. With over 250 dogs in their care at any given time, Labs and More Rescue is a beacon of hope for dogs in Southern California.
Foster Dogs
We have a wonderful group of foster dogs waiting to find their forever homes.
Our foster dogs are Labrador Retrievers, a popular breed known for their friendly and outgoing personalities.
If you're interested in adopting one of these lovable dogs, you'll need to live in Southern California, as we only adopt within our covered areas.
Unfortunately, residents of Riverside, San Diego, Kern, or San Luis Obispo Counties are not eligible for adoption, as we're unable to accept applications from these areas.
We also don't adopt outside of California, so if you live out of state, we won't be able to help you.
To get started, submit an online application to adopt, and an SCLRR volunteer will be in touch with you.
Before you can be put in touch with a dog's foster home, your home must be approved through a homecheck.
Bandit
Bandit is a happy dog whose tail never stops wagging. He's a social butterfly who loves to be around people and enjoys being brushed and petted.
Bandit is motivated to please and loves treats, which makes training a breeze. He's already learned basic commands like sit, come, and sometimes down.
Bandit has a good nose and finds treats quickly, taking them gently. He's also good at retrieving toys and brings them back most of the time.
A loving forever home with a physical or underground fence is just what Bandit needs. He'd love a family that can provide him with the play time, training, and exercise he needs to thrive.
