Stache's handler, Margery Good, described his performance as "wonderful", saying he "stretched those little short legs of his and flew around this ring."

Stache competed against six other finalists, including a German Shepherd, a Great Dane, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, a Shih Tzu, and an Azawakh.

The National Dog Show is an annual event that showcases the best dogs across various breeds, broadcast by NBC on Thanksgiving Day.

Over the years, 20 different breeds have won the competition, with the Wire Fox Terrier and Scottish Deerhound remaining the only breeds to have won twice.

Stache's registered name is GCHP Goodspice Efbe Money Stache, and he lives in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, not far from where he picked up his prestigious award.

He was the No. 2-ranked Terrier and No. 12-ranked All-Breed show dog in America before winning the National Dog Show.

The American Kennel Club describes the Sealyham Terrier as "brave and spirited, but not as spiky as small terriers."

Stache's win was impressive, especially considering he's barely as tall as the judge's knees and had to crane his neck to look at the silver platter he won.
