The St Charles County Pet Adoption Center is a haven for animals in need. They provide compassionate care for animals, including spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping.

Their team of experienced staff and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure the animals receive the best possible care. This includes providing a safe and comfortable environment for the animals to thrive.

The center takes in animals of all ages and breeds, from puppies and kittens to adult dogs and cats. They also have a special program for seniors, providing a quiet and comfortable space for older animals to relax.

Their goal is to find forever homes for the animals in their care, and they work closely with local shelters and rescue groups to achieve this.

About the Shelter

Lucky K9 Rescue is a 501(c)(3) dog rescue group, incorporated in 2016, with years of animal and rescue experience amongst its volunteers.

The organization is 100% volunteer driven, with all members working regular full-time jobs and many having families as well. This dedication is a testament to the importance of their mission.

As a foster-based rescue organization, Lucky K9 Rescue places dogs in the loving homes of volunteer foster families, where they can decompress and receive care before being adopted.

Open Admissions Shelter?

The Pet Adoption Center in St Charles County is not an open admissions shelter. Some animals that come to the shelter have serious health or behavioral problems that make them unsuitable for adoption to the public.

Dogs that are extremely aggressive to people or have a history of biting are not made available for adoption. This is a safety precaution to protect both the animals and the potential adopters.

Benefits

At the Pet Adoption Center, millions of pets are available for adoption every year, making it a great opportunity to find a loving companion for your family.

Each pet has a complete history, which is carefully collected by staff to ensure a smooth transition into your home.

Staff at the center treat medical issues and assess temperament to make sure the pet is a good match for you.

Shelters are often less expensive than other animal facilities, making them a more affordable option for pet owners.

By adopting from a shelter, you'll receive counseling or additional assistance on the parenting of your pet, helping you to provide the best possible care.

Our Mission

Lucky K9 Rescue is a 501(c)(3) dog rescue group that's been helping animals in need since 2016.

We're a volunteer-driven organization, which means we're all working together to make a difference, even though we have regular full-time jobs and families of our own.

Our team has years of experience in animal rescue and care, and we're dedicated to restoring the health and well-being of the dogs under our care.

As a foster-based rescue organization, all our dogs live in the loving homes of our volunteer foster families, where they receive the love and care they need.

We take our time to ensure each dog is fully vetted, has time to decompress, and gets to know their personality, so we can find the perfect match for their forever home.
