Training your dog is a journey, not a destination. Consistency is key, and establishing a routine from the start will make a huge difference in the long run.

Dogs thrive on clear communication and positive reinforcement. According to research, dogs that are trained with rewards and praise exhibit better behavior and a stronger bond with their owners.

A happy home starts with a calm and patient owner. Taking a few deep breaths before interacting with your dog can help you stay calm and composed, even in chaotic situations.

Positive reinforcement training methods have been shown to be more effective than punishment-based methods. By focusing on what your dog is doing right, you'll see faster progress and a more enthusiastic learner.

This method helps you create effortless teaching moments that tie into your dog's pack instincts and strengthen your bond with your dog.

With this approach, your pup can master good leash manners, obey basic commands, and stop problematic behaviors in as little as six weeks.

New Skete offers ongoing support for the life of your dog, ensuring your continued success and happiness with your furry companion.

You'll want to schedule an online meeting with New Skete to discuss your dog's behavior and review their training program before bringing your dog home.

At the time of drop-off, you'll meet with one of the trainers to ask any last-minute questions.

You won't be staying at the monastery, so you can focus on getting settled with your new furry family member.

Prior to graduation, you'll receive a plan for continuing your dog's training at home, which includes printed and video materials.

This plan will cover general information like getting started, the ten commands, and training exercises specifically for you and your dog.

One of the trainers will work with you at pick-up to ensure you're comfortable with the commands and using the training tools.
