Training Methods and Gear

We use a variety of training tools to help your dog learn new skills. Depending on your dog and the program you want, we could end up using all kinds of different tools to train your dog.

You get to keep all the tools we use during training, so you can continue practicing with your dog at home. We'll expect you to have worked on your homework with your dog and completed the challenge we gave you by the next session.

What Training Methods Do You Use?

We use natural-based, scientifically proven dog training methods that are widely used by professional, certified trainers worldwide.

These methods are grounded in operant conditioning, a science that helps us understand how dogs learn and behave.

We train dogs in front of their owners, not behind closed doors, which we believe is the safest way to train a dog.

The most effective and longest-lasting results come from using positive and corrective stimuli from all four quadrants of operant conditioning.

This approach mimics the natural way dogs train each other and humans, using positive and corrective stimuli.

By giving dogs a purpose, like training, we can help socialize a bored or anxious dog.

We'll likely use different tools to train your dog, but don't worry, you won't have to buy a thing. You'll get to keep it all and use it to reinforce the training we do together.

After about an hour, Your Dog Pro will text you the homework for this week's challenge and then head out.

The Dog Pro will demonstrate the week's lesson, showing proper technique, commands, and signaling.

The Dog Pro will add duration and distractions to the lesson once you and your dog are getting it right, so you can practice obeying commands in different situations.

Animal Training Requirements

Animal Training Requirements are crucial for a well-behaved and well-adjusted puppy. They help prevent behavioral problems and strengthen the bond between you and your furry friend.

Housebreaking requires consistency and patience, as puppies can hold their bladder for one hour per month of age. This means a 3-month-old puppy can hold it for 3 hours.

Positive reinforcement training methods are highly effective, as they focus on rewarding good behavior rather than punishing bad behavior. This approach encourages puppies to learn and grow at their own pace.

Puppies need regular exercise to stay healthy and focused, with daily walks and playtime recommended. A 30-minute walk per day is a good starting point for most puppies.

Socialization is a critical aspect of puppy training, as it helps puppies become confident and calm in new situations. Exposing your puppy to various environments, people, and animals can help them develop good social skills.
